The Himalayan Quartz is extracted from the mine by hand so no blasting is involved which can cause harm to the crystal and its healing energies. When I was in Nepal the locals told me that they call these crystals THE EYE OF GOD because of the power they contain. They are collected 12.000 to 15.000 feet above sea level from the Ganesh Himal region of the Himalayas.
