A lovely set of Mala Beads, totalling 108 Amethyst 8mm spheres in all, and comes in its own fetching, luxury drawstring pouch. Quite a lot of the spheres are Chevron Amethyst, which feature the unique patternation of this Amethyst type.
Totally handcrafted, there is a know between each sphere. Also, there is a 10mm bead to denote the end of the 108 spheres, and to denote the start of the tassel.

Hindu tradition holds that the correct way to use a mala is with the right hand, with the thumb flicking one bead to the next, and with the mala draped over the middle finger. The index finger represents ego, the greatest impediment to Self-Realization, so it is considered best avoided (as with the ego) when chanting on a mala.
