The stigmas are found on the female flower of corn. Cornsilk tea can be taken to prevent bed-wetting and is helpful for bladder and kidney problems. It is useful when treating water retention so is perfect for treating obesity because it acts as a diuretic.

To make Cornsilk Tea place one teaspoonful of the herb in a cup of water and bring to the boil. Leave for about ten minutes and drink. This may be taken three time daily.

For an effective Diet drink use 2 teaspoons Cornsilk, simmered in one pint of water for ten minutes, strain and drink before meals.

For an Herbal Aroma Bath add two pints of the herbal tea to your bath water
